Art Works for Kids at Brooklyn Children’s Museum

BROOKLYN, NY - August 9, 2010: -- Art Works for Kids at Brooklyn Children’s Museum

For the remainder of August, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum offers free art programs for kids ages five and under.

The Totally Tots Art Studio offers a variety of media with which kids can work to create sculptures, drawings, and other arts and crafts. Sessions begin at 2:30 p.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m.

While at the museum, visit “Collection Central,” the establishment’s permanent collection of 30,000 objects. From a shark’s jawbone to musical instruments from around the world, there is something for each child to see and learn about. Interactive displays challenge visitors of all ages to explore objects in new ways, such as using only the sense of touch to identify a hidden artifact.

The Brooklyn Children’s Museum is located at 145 Brooklyn Avenue. For directions and hours of operation, visit www.brooklynkids.org.
